It's A Classical Tailgate Party
You are invited to the BHA's first event of the 2019 winter season on “Superbowl” Sunday, February 3rd at 4:30 pm with a concert at 5:00 pm at the Park Terrace Condominiums, 1611 Spring Dr., 40205. Beverages and Hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Anne Richardson, cellist from Louisville and presently at the Julliard School in NY City will be our guest soloist. This is Anne's second performance for our neighborhood "Soup and Salad” events having played some seven years ago at Park Terrace as a child.
Anne has been featured twice on NPR's From The Top. More recently Anne made her Lincoln Center Debut, soloing with the Juilliard Orchestra. Anne has won many competitions including the Julliard String Competition and the Louisville Orchestra competition at the young age of 10.
Her most recent appearance as a soloist with the Louisville Orchestra was in October for the Music Without Borders series. Anne has returned to Louisville this week as a Gheens Artist in Residence, sponsored by the Kentucky Center for the Arts. During the week she will perform in many venues including music in schools, music in healing and music with dance. The highlight of the week will be Wednesday evening February 6th in Whitney Hall at 6:30 pm for a "free" concert with the Louisville Orchestra where she will perform “Variations on a Rococo Theme” by Tchaikovsky.
We are delighted that Anne will perform Sunday evening, February 3rd for the BHA's “tailgate” party to begin her week in Louisville. We will be treated to a preview performance of the Tchaikovsky "Variations”.
