Time for another family summer event!  We had such a good time with the folks from Idlewild and their butterflies last year we invited them back for another morning of education and entertainment.  This time:  Insects!  From 10am-noon on Saturday 10 August, 2335 Bonnycastle Ave.  This event is free to Bonnycastle Homestead Association members.  Non-members $10 per person, $20 per family.  Join BHA and get in free!

IDLEWILD BUTTERFLY FARM & INSECTARIUM will present a live insect/arthropods program that will include close viewing and interaction. Knowledgeable insect ambassador handlers will identify specimens and elaborate on their unique adaptations, diets, and country of origin. This may include exotic beetles, stick insects, praying mantids, cockroaches, tarantulas, and more. With the assistance of insect ambassador handlers, many may be touched and petted. This educational program promotes respect and appreciation of the role insects play in the natural world.
