Steve Wiser, Author of Carriage Houses of Louisville
6-8 Sunday 23 April, 1724 Spring Drive
Louisville is always rated highly as a great place to live, and there are many beautiful residences and carriage houses here. To highlight these hidden carriage houses, author Steve Wiser and photographer Dan Madryga have cataloged many of these unique style homes.
This hawk was perched on one of the 2016 trees, in the park land at the end of Sherwood. In addition to restoring our precious canopy, trees also are important for the local wildlife.
The March Soup and Salad Event is coming up!
Our guest will be Teddy Abrams, the Music Director of the Louisville Orchestra.
Teddy Abrams took the helm of the Louisville Orchestra at the beginning of the 2014-15 concert season. He is an accomplished pianist, clarinetist, composer, and a rising star conductor. His commitment to the city of Louisville is enthusiastic, and he is focused on expanding musical opportunities of everyone in the community.
6-8pm Sunday 26 March, Park Terrace Condominium, 1611 Park Drive
The Bonnycastle Homestead area is a part of Louisville's Highlands, between Bardstown Road and Cherokee Park, and between Eastern Parkway and Speed Avenue. Built up over 50 years ago, and experiencing some decline in the 1950's and 1960's, the neighborhood is now alive and prospering. Residents are happy with their tree- shaded streets, their graceful older homes, their closeness to the cultural offerings of downtown, and the friendly atmosphere. The neighborhood is vitilized by a diversity of ages and occupations.
